Old spaghetti factory in New West

Address: 50 8 Street, New westminster
Website: http://www.oldspaghettifactory.ca/

For GL's birthday, we went to Old Spaghetti Factory to celebrate. The reason being that it's easy to get to, and it can accomodate 20 something people. But I have to say though, I've been there a few times and every time I've been disappointed. The service is absolutely awesome, but the food, oh the food...I really don't like the food here.

Anyways, we made the reservation for 7:30pm, and we didn't get seated until 8:30pm. The staffs were super apologetic, so they brought us a few appetizers after we settled in our seats. So we started with complimentary popcorn shrimp, it was okay...there was so much batter that you can barely taste the shrimp.

Then we had complimentary cheesy garlic bread. It was okay too, a bit too hard for my liking.

Then they brought us their house bread. It was typical store bought type of bread with garlic butter and regular butter.

Then for main, I had the Spicy Chorizo Penne Al Fresca. It was not very good...

Then for dessert they served us complimentary ice cream. So like I said, the service was so amazing, the servers were all super patient and apologetic for making us wait for so long. Hence all the complimentary things we received.

On a personal note, happy birthday GL!!!
