Passion World Tour!

Passion World Tour in Vancouver took place this past Friday! I was super excited about this tour because it brought such a revival in my heart in 2008 and I knew it would do the same for me this year. I've been telling everyone about this, I guess you could say I was passionate for Passion. :P

This year the world tour took place in seven countries, Kyiv Russia, London England, Hong Kong, Manilla Philippians, Sao Paulo Brazil, Tokyo Japan, and of course, Vancouver Canada. The motto for the tour is: A generation united for the name of Jesus. In Vancouver this year, there were 10,900 people + 300 volunteers in Rogers Arena worshiping God together!

You can't tell from the picture how crowded it was, but it was fully packed!

Not only was it a night of praise and worship, it was a night of a powerful message as well. Let me try to illustrate the pastor message. Imagine you are watching a movie, and the camera is focus on the main character. This main character is amazing, he is the typical hero, a protagonist. Now imagine while the camera is focus on the main character, and there is this extra on the show that keeps trying to get into the frame shot.

In some ways, this is exactly how our life is like. If you think of this whole world as a movie, God is the central character. He is the creator of all things, so of course He is our hero, and this movie is about Him. We are like extras in His movie. And as people, we all have the tendency of placing ourselves in the center. It's should be about me me me. We want to be in the main shot, we want the glory, we want the praises. But really, in reality, God is the center. When we try to make ourselves more important, we are like the extras in the movie that keeps getting in the way or interrupting the film. It is obvious who the focus really is, but we just keep trying to steal the thunder. We need to remember that we are here to take part in something big, but we are not the creator of that. God doesn't need us to complete His will, but He wants us to partake in it. In other words, He doesn't need us in the film, but He wants us to be in the spot light with Him. So we need to learn to get go of our own will and obey God. We need to invite God to sit on the throne of our life.
